The Simon of Cyrene Film Project recounts the story of the man who helped Jesus carry His cross, on His way to  Calvary. Simon and his two sons, Alexander and Rufus, were from North Africa. Along with many other North African characters, they played an important role in the spreading of the Gospel in Europe, Asia and Africa. Thanks to their work, North Africa experienced a great Christian revival becoming the most Christianised region in the world during the first three centuries. Carthage in modern Tunisia became the most important Christian capital city and gave Christianity many of its greatest characters such as Tertullian, Cyprian and Augustine. John Mark, Alexander and Rufus have also played important roles in evangelising Asia, Europe and Africa..

What we aim to do is to find a poducer who can bring this project to life, and help people discover the story of those Africans who helped the Gospel reach the world, and make North African people discover their christian heritage and meditate on their christian ancestors history  and the importance of the Cross of Jesus. for their lives.
